What is open enrollment?

Annual benefits open enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to enroll in or make changes to your individual medical plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Even if your circumstances haven’t changed, this is when you’ll need to review and update your income information on your Marketplace application.

Open enrollment runs from Nov. 1 through Dec. 15 each year. Don’t miss this window — it’s your only chance to make changes for the coming year!

How does open enrollment work?

During open enrollment, you’ll need to:

  • Verify your income for the upcoming year (even if it hasn’t changed).
  • Confirm your subsidy status if you’re using one.
  • Update household demographics to ensure everything is current.
  • Review available plans to see if a change makes sense for your situation.

Once your information is up to date, you can explore plan options and make any necessary adjustments.

Choose your enrollment path

Option 1: Self-service

Handle everything yourself at www.healthcare.gov. Remember to verify your income by Dec. 15 if you’re using a subsidy, then review your plan options to determine if any changes are needed.

You also have the option to call the Marketplace directly at 1-800-318-2596.

Option 2: Personal consultation (in person or phone)

Prefer a helping hand? We’ll guide you through the process.

Here’s how it works:

  • During the consultation, we’ll verify your information and review next year’s available plans together.
  • We’ll help you determine the best fit for your needs.
  • If you decide to make changes, we’ll process them within two business days (or by Dec. 15, whichever comes first).
  • You’ll receive confirmation via email or mail (your choice).
